Midlife, 3 Kids, and Nowhere to Vent: Why I Started This Blog

We are all on a journey.

Right now, my spot on that journey looks like this: midlife, three kids, a wife, a job, a handful of hobbies, perpetual tiredness, and, most importantly, nobody left to bitch and rant to.

So, naturally, I did what any reasonable middle-aged guy would do: I started a blog to rant to complete strangers on the internet.

Will anyone read this? Who knows. But I needed an outlet, and here we are.

What this blog is actually about

Over the last several years, I was so focused on working and raising kids that I completely let myself go. I picked up unhealthy habits like smoking (which I kicked almost two years ago) and watched my fitness hit rock bottom.

Now, I’m on a mission to get back on track and find out how much of my 20s physique survived into my 40s.

Expect regular rants about:

  • The circus of balancing work, marriage, fatherhood, workouts, and personal hobbies.
  • The awkward reality of trying to get fit again in your 40s.
  • The sudden realization that time flies fast, and you’d better grab life by the horns before the journey is over.

If we can navigate all this with a smile, a bit of progress, and some sarcastic humor nobody asked for… even better.

Thanks for stopping by. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the rants.

If this earned a laugh, you can buy me a coffee at ko-fi.com/snarkydad. No obligation, no judgment, just caffeine.
